New Update: Changes to the Partner Star System

At YouNow, the Partner Star system has always been a way to recognize and celebrate creator growth on the platform. Until now, Star levels have been determined solely based on the number of likes received within a calendar month, allowing Partners to showcase their visibility and progress in a clear and consistent way.
What’s changing?
Starting with the next cycle on May 1, 2025, creators will need to meet two criteria in order to secure or move up to their next Partner Star level:
1. The required number of likes, and
2. A new minimum monthly earnings threshold from gifts
This update is designed to bring greater balance and fairness to how Partner Stars are earned - recognizing not just visibility and engagement, but also consistent creator performance.
Updated Requirements
Here are the new criteria for each Partner Star level:
Star Level | Likes Threshold | Earnings Threshold |
1-Star | 300K likes | $5 |
2-Star | 800K likes | $25 |
3-Star | 2M likes | $50 |
4-Star | 6M likes | $100 |
5-Star | 10M likes | $225 |
6-Star | 25M likes | $450 |
7-Star | 40M likes | $900 |
What’s next?
We’re currently working on new progress tracking tools that will allow you to monitor both your like and earnings progress for each Partner Star level, directly in the app and on the website.
Stay tuned for updates. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out to the team for support.
