Cohosting lets you merge and unmerge your stream with another broadcaster – it is a little like guesting, except you don’t lose your spot in trending and you don’t have to end your own broadcast! Your stream will look the same to your viewers as the normal guesting experience, and the same is true for the broadcaster you co-host with.
In addition to co-hosting, we revamped the likes battle so that you can now battle other broadcasters without being a guest of theirs!
How Does It Work?
A new Cohost button is now available in the Activity Menu (web only).
Broadcasters can invite a friend who is also live. You both must be fanned to each other for co-hosting to work, and you can’t have blocked the other user.
The invited user will receive a Cohost invitation. If they accept, both live streams will merge but appear as independent streams on the trending lists!
Chats and audience lists will merge, creating a shared experience for both communities.
In your broadcast, you will appear as the main broadcaster, and your cohost will appear as a guest (and vice versa for them).
During a Cohost session, some features like Giveaways, YouDraw, Likeathon, and Treasure Chests will be temporarily disabled.
